Not knowing about the standards of living you likely wouldn't know proper etiquette and you probably wouldn't know what poor or rich was. You would only know of whatever situation you yourself was in. You would likely not know what state other countries were in. And in terms of wealth you wouldn't know how much money is a lot for your country. Also if you didn't know you wouldn't know what position your family was in in terms of what the countries high and low standards are.

Knowing the 5 themes of geography it relates to standard of living. It relates because the 5 themes of geography relate to where you are in the world. And your standard of living really relies on where you live and in what area. It also relies on the fact that it tells you  how the people in that area are treating the environment.
